Welcome to Photography Unposed

Welcome to Photography Unposed, my new blog!  I hope you will subscribe and follow my blog as I ramble about photography.  My photo interests are in the areas of documentary, editorial and fine art photography.  I have been a serious photographer for over 40 years and turned professional in 2005 after a 31 year government career.

I plan on the following types of posts:

  • My fine art photos with comments
  • Some of my editorial and commercial work
  • Current issues in photojournalism and documentary photography
  • New photo essays and personal projects
  • Links to other photographers and timely issues in photography
  • Many other images and thoughts that happen to come to mind

So…..welcome aboard and I hope you will chime in and let me know what YOU think as well!

About Kolman Rosenberg

My interest in photography began as a college newspaper and yearbook photographer during the stormy 1960s and 1970s. I was influenced by many of the great photojournalists and documentary photographers such as W. Eugene Smith, Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, Gordon Parks, Margaret Bourke-White and other black and white photographers of Life Magazine and the earlier Farm Security Administration. Though many of these photographers documented the horrors of war and the plight of poverty, they also showed me the dignity and adaptability of human beings in their desire to prevail.
